Where did AnySQL come from?

AnySQL originated from a free utility I wrote in 2003 and 2004 when I was involved in Java programing. I needed to write a tool that could extract rows from different types of RDBMS (Oracle, Sybase, DB2 etc), and I chose Java JDBC API. Finally I wrote a tool similar to Oracle's SQL*Plus, but it could connect to different types of databases, so I named it "AnySQL". Later in 2004 I registered this domain name. The original objective is to introduce the utility to more people.

I've been writing blog since March 2005, and I changed the site to be my personal page, not just for the AnySQL utility. Since then more free utilities were written. You could download them and give a try. Along with that, there's also some Oracle research. Anyway, welcome to visit my site. Hope you can find something useful.
